Dear Diary;
Oh! My! Goodness! *starts to go into hyper drive and do the Snoopy Happy Dance* My author, Sailor HotShot (aka Alex), drew me (in my Sailor Mau form) with Luna, Artemis and Diana and submitted it to a contest over at MoonKitty.NET and miracle of miracles, it won! Below is what was wrote by Brad (owner of MoonKitty.NET) about the outcome.
WIN A SAILORMOON DVD!!!
That's right! In celebration of Moonkitty.NET's 3rd year online (and an obvious attempt to get some content for my fan sections) I'm throwing a competition for all you artists and writers out there to send me in all your Moonkitty fan art and fiction, the winner receiving their own SailormoonS Vol II DVD!
COMPETITION CLOSED Well we had a total of eight entries in this competition, six were fan art, two were fan fic. As stated in the rules when this competition first started up I judged who the winner would be by the ammount of creativity and skill apparent in their work. And I believe this entry does so.
Now before I announce the winner (and assuming you havn't scrolled down to it yet!) I think I should stress how important it is to follow guidelines when entering competitions! Only two fan art entries followed the rules! I had said VERY clearly that all pics must be no bigger than 500x500 pixels in size. Well neadless to say I got a few that were over 2000x2500!!!
Anyway....even if all the entries had obeyed the rules, this work still would have been the obvious winner. The artist attempted to portray what Sailor Mau may have looked like and also threw in Artemis, Luna and Diana to the mix! The pose is original, obviously not traced from any other work and the characters have personality, something much more important that getting the physical attributes correct (in my books anyway!).

Wow! This was a shock to my system. Now all we have to do is get an actual DVD player. Anyone have a spare? Oh, and before I forget, we've joined another clique. This time about Planet Power.
