Sailor Tiger's Grotto

Historical Summary
Draconis

Long ago on Draconis, the senshi of the planet was expecting to give birth to the future Sailor Draconis. Her lifemate was more excited to greet the child than the mother was. According to the letter of the law, he wasn't allowed to see the child nor the expectant mother until after the birth and Naming Ceremony. Unfortunately, he was a bit too anxious to see them both and when he had heard the child's first cries, he burst into the birthing room and rushed over to his lifemate and child. If it were any other parent and child, and if the situation was different, the oversight might have been ignored or quite simply overlooked.

The law decried that if the father were to see the mother and child before both the birth and Naming Ceremony, then the father was to be stripped of any titles he may have held, chased away from the scene and banned making contact with both his lifemate and child until the child matured into adulthood. Since the mother was the current sailor soldier and the child was to be the future guardian of Draconis, the laws had to be enforced. The enforcement of the law was taken one step further by the Elders however and the father was chased off the planet. It was speculated that the father had transversed to the Sol System, but nothing had been confirmed at the time.

One hundred and forty Draconian years later, the current Sailor Draconis still pined after her absent lifemate and thus, missed all the warning signs that Sesmar was about to strike out upon the planet until he arrived. Just before Sesmar completely devastated the planet, Sailor Draconis sent her daughter - who had yet to be awakened as the future guardian - and a handmaiden escort into a hibernating suspended animation within a shielded meteorite shell in hopes that they would survive the attack.

The meteorite encasement was jettisoned out from the Draconian System after a shock wave freed it from it's mooring in a hidden cavern on Draconis. With little more than various gravitational pulls from uncounted systems, the slumbering forms within the meteorite unknowingly made their way to the Sol System and crash landed on Mars. The encasement created a crater on Mars' surface and opened, ending the suspended animation.

The future guardian of Draconis, or Medousa-Tanis as she was known ever since her Naming Ceremony, was brought to the Martian Royalty and within the closed doors described the events which lead her and her handmaiden to being found in the opened meteorite. Between Medousa-Tanis and the Martian Royalty, they came to the decision that her past life was hers alone to disclose to whomever she saw fit. They declared her a ward of their planet and trained her in the matters of fire and warfare.

Months into her training, she sensed an aura that seemed familiar and comforting to her; however other than the fact that she found out that he was also a Draconian, Medousa-Tanis found out little more about the man. To him, Medousa-Tanis was little more than a child that the Elders sent to taunt him about all the things he missed out on for having had broke a carnal law. Medousa-Tanis however, fell in love with him the closer she came to adulthood, not knowing or realizing that he was her father.

One day after a particularly grueling training session, Medousa-Tanis declared her love for him, but he rejected her advances of unrequited love. His love and devotion towards his lifemate who he believed to still be alive showed through his eyes. Medousa-Tanis sealed herself in her room where she eventually died of a combination of starving herself and heartbreak. Upon Medousa-Tanis's death, her handmaiden escort used the repaired meteorite encasement to hibernate in suspended animation until the time that Medousa-Tanis is reborn.

Ignorant that Medousa-Tanis had died, her father's anger at what he believed was a horrid taunt or prank by the Elders escalated into full blown rage and he mentally declared war on his home planet. However once he made the trek back to Draconis and found that it and all life on it had been destroyed, he became so distraught that he took his own life.
